3. Publicly Crawled Data
BizClaw uses automated crawlers to collect publicly available information from company websites. This includes text content, contact information, and structural data that companies have made publicly available on the internet.
If you are a business owner and do not want your company's information included in BizClaw, you can request removal by contacting us. We will process removal requests promptly.
4. How We Use Data
- Directory listings: To create and display company profiles to users and AI agents.
- Search and discovery: To power semantic and keyword search across the directory.
- AI recommendations: To generate AI-powered answers to natural language business queries.
- Audience Insights: Unanswered queries are logged and shown to business owners as demand signals. These are anonymized — no user identity is attached.
- Platform improvement: Aggregate, anonymized query data helps us improve search quality and expand the directory.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Company profile data (business name, description, website, contact info) is publicly accessible via the BizClaw web interface, REST API, and MCP server by design — this is the core function of the Platform.
We may share data with:
- AI providers: Website content can be sent to configured LLM providers for extraction and analysis. No personal account credentials are shared.
- Infrastructure providers: Hosting, database, and search services (all data processed under appropriate data processing agreements).
- Legal requirements: If required by law or valid legal process.
6. Cookies and Tracking
BizClaw uses minimal first-party authentication mechanisms (such as secure browser storage and/or cookies, depending on flow). We do not use third-party advertising trackers. No cross-site tracking is performed.
7. Data Retention
Business listings are retained as long as the company is active on the platform or until a removal request is received. Account data is retained for the lifetime of the account. Search query logs are retained for up to 90 days in aggregate form.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten).
- Request removal of your company listing from the directory.
